I'm not trying to be rude but there's a few writers that will only wtrite about someone's life, whether is made up, or something are untrue but to always see those kinds of posts are quite annoying. I just think that there has to be other things to talk about. How can anyone truly know about a person if they're not there or have never met the person or persons they're discussion. There's a writer on mylot and his writers always have something educational in them. Whether it's history or related to social issues. I enjoy reading his discussions I rather not read discussions that talk about someone's life in a negative manner.
There was a discussion about a man who lived in a home and didn't pay child support. I'm just not into those types of posts so I would read the ones about the weather, life in general, but to always be talking about someone's life can be a little annoying. Writing about someone's contributions is great but some of that other stuff Tanikka Paulk probably won't read.

I think everyone has different opinions and like different things. Some people like the posts you don't. I might like posts that someone else doesn't like. That's why I love it here so much-there's so many choices. If I don't want to read something I just keep going and pass it by.

I enjoy a wide variety of different types of discussions. Sometimes I write about my own life.

I think that this is such a big community that there are tastes for everyone. I generally to not read the many posts about Donald Trump. It is my choice. Some time ago, thee were many posts about religion. I pass those too, but there are people that follow them.
Follow those lotters who write about subjects that you like.

I am still getting used to the site, but I use the "Explore" button and often check the recent discussions and those called "interesting". Some are not my cup of tea, but I have run into some really good ones. I read one of the most positive and uplifting ones today since I joined. Good luck in finding the gems...they are here.

There are people here who aren't *real* writers, so they tend to write about their lives a lot. And those are the people who have become good friends. We get involved in their lives and share the joys and sorrows. I love the other writers, too, because they stimulate my brain, and that's always a joy! I guess I love it here because there is always something for everyone!

Wellsaid but lm sorry to disagree,we all like different things and that`s what make mylot interesting. We are all allowed to post what we want, you dont like it, just dont read it.
I dont mind reading about other people, l dont mind telling people about things that worry me,make me mad, my weaknesses, my shameful moments etc.
As much as l love to read about someone`s drunk night out, so much l love to read about current events, politics, education and whatever.
Sorry if you feel offended if l write about me or if another member write about her daughter, some of us do not have people we can talk to in real life as openly as we can talk here so please bear with us.
What bores you, just skip it.

I don't mind reading negative things because those are the things I learn from. Without the negative, we won't have a clue what is positive .. I find substance in anything I read.. It is really not what people write about but what I look for that matters to me ..

l thought that's kind of what the site has become now.
l don't really mind them. Seeing these discussions is a bit annoying at times but it doesn't mean you have to open them. lt's the only way to fight it if you think about it. Another thing to do is contribute quality stuff. Give people an alternative!
That's kind of what l'm trying to do

that's the beauty'f sites such's these, folks can write what they wish 'n folks don't've to read 'em. fer myself, i'd rather not be readin' the latest news ('nless someone's somethin' personal to add due to their relationship to such). jest read what'cha enjoy 'n jest scroll'n past those that're 'f no interest.
i figure there's 'nough folks writin' 'bout the mundane that i can jest continue to be a free spirit'n write 'f where i live, what's goin'.

This is a site for all readers and writers. If you don't want to read a topic, no one is twisting your arm. Move on and read what suits you best. I enjoy reading about my friends' lives the most on myLot. There are other topics that are quite interesting as well, to me. If I don't want to read a boring to me topic, on I go on my merry way.

I like to write about a variety of things, but I've written posts about my life. I try to be upbeat and positive. I mostly succeed. I try not to share person problems. I'm a private person. Some things shared here should not be shared.
