Laughter at horror movies

June 21, 2016 2:44am CST
Last week I went to watch Conjuring 2 with my friends in cinema. There were some scenes where most of the audience started laughing even though they were not so funny. I get so irritated when people laugh during a horror movie show. They dilute the tense and fearful environment that is the true essence of watching a horror movie in cinemas. Even you can't hear the dialogues delivered when people start laughing in between. What are your experiences mylotters?

People have their right to express their emotions but they should also have to respect others feelings. They can laugh inside the movie house but they should see to it that their laughter is not so loud that makes other people irritated. Their attention should be called by the guard. I also hate those people inside the movie house who keeps on talking and laughing in a loud voice. As if they are the only people inside.

Perhaps they thought it was a horror comedy or they did not understand a thing and started laughing thinking that was the right thing to do. Yes, it does get irritating when one is trying to watch the movie and other people start laughing for no rhyme or reason. They should be banned from entering the cinema hall.

Yes. These kind of people spoil the mood and indirectly hamper the concentration of other people.

In my opinion if the film made them feel that way then it's fair game. Laughing and screaming are the only noises l tolerate during a film screening really. And if most of the audience is laughing even though it's a horror l just assume l didn't get it as l'm the minority.
