Patience Is Always Rewarded

In my garden, patience is always rewarded. Every year I am always waiting for my flowers to bloom and they never fail me. Right now, I am posting a photo of a flower called Bee Balm which is just waiting to open up. I think that a few more days of heat and sun will do the magic. Most of my flowers are perennials but I always buy new geraniums and a few other kinds every Spring too. Which flower are you waiting to open up for you right now?

I was waiting to see my gardenia flowers open up. There were many buds but the temperature was pretty low. Yesterday the temperature has improved and this morning I have seen 4 flowers in bloom.

I have only a few bee balm left in my garden. My husband is allergic to them. But, perennials are hard to get rid of them all even if you seemingly pull them all up. There were a few that popped up last year. I left them. I am hoping that my blue globe thistle will bloom when I transplant it. Have to get some top soil for the bed that I will transfer it too. The other plants that I was hoping to see bloom are the morning glories and four o'clocks that I planted from seed. Maybe I can transplant the morning glories at the new place. Not sure.

@marlina I would say lack of water. But a friend who lives in a different part of the state and who waters like crazy - hers didn't take either. I do have one more pack and once we gt some decent rain predicted I will try one last time.

You are really a flower enthusiast. I like flower very much, especially the ones with bright colors and pleasant slight scents, but I have not had my own garden yet.

I know that you love the summer and your garden best of all. I don't ahve any flowers, but there's one lovely rose on the bush by the back door. I love the wildflowers that bloom just beyond my property, and the bunnies that live in the brush. I hope to see some fireflies.

@marlina Yes, I have four roses and a couple of shrubs that have flowers but the rest is just native bushes and shrubs. The New Zealand Christmas tree has flowers, despite it being June!

Good to know that you have lots have patience and you love flowers. It is summer season here in New Delhi and there are less flowers. Even if flowers bloom, they die down the next day due to excessive heat and humidity.

@marlina Flowers do not survive in hot weather and equator pass through India so in plains, weather remains hot and humid around this time of the year.
