Babysitting is Very Tiring

I did nothing today but to babysit my nine months old grandnephew. II have been missing him already so I fetch him from my sister's house so I could spend some time with him. He now moves a lot either with walker or just crawling from the bedroom to the living room and would even attempt to stand up while holding on a stool so I had to follow his every move lest he fall. It was certainly a tiring day for me, in fact if I were to compare babysitting with gardening, I would say babysitting all day is more tiring than gardening all day. In fact even if I love to cuddle babies, I won't volunteer to do babysitting to any baby for one whole day. At any rate, no matter how tiring it was, I enjoyed being with my beloved baby grandnephew today. Do you enjoy babysitting?

Yes, I enjoy babysitting because I miss cuddling babies. I miss those days when my kids were babies. I enjoy seeing babies with their innocent smile and their breath.

Taking care of your own is really different. I myself miss the days when my only son was a baby, he grew up so fast and after him no more baby for me so now I am borrowing the baby of my niece

I used to babysit quite a bit as a teen. It was fun. Now I have three young kids of my own. So I don't really babysit anymore.

@salonga exactly. I might babysit my grandkids, if and when my kids have theirs, but for the moment, I'm not in the babysitting business.

I like babies and would enjoy babysitting but for a short period only. As you say its too tiring. But I can tell them (older kids)stories and help with homework, I enjoy that

Older kids are easier to take care of course unlike these toddlers where you have to take extra effort and have to be extra watchful so they won't get hurt.

He is so cute , my friend . So , you too just like me don't have grandchildren yet that we have to "borrow ' our nephews' children . I can so relate . I do enjoy babysitting too . I also would get my grandnephew from his Yaya when i go to my parents' house for a visit . Oh my , he is so mobile , he cannot be seated even for a second . I have to return him to his yaya in a little while . But before i do so , i smother him with kisses and hugs to which he would wiggle out .

I am scared of children. I mean how do you understand their secret language? When they cry what is it supposed to mean they are hungry? Thirsty? Sleepy? Hot? Cold? I just don't understand. So I just stay away from babysitting.
