Another Weird Moment

Actually not so much weird as embarrassing. On Monday I sent a message to a Forum I have been Chairing, we have about 30 members. I was late as the meeting was scheduled for 4 days time. So I wrote a jovial friendly email hoping nobody noticed how late I was. Today, three days before the anticipated event I was informed we need to cancel as the Room we used at the Hospital was over booked. 'This was rather awkward' thought I but it could be done. I had the old email in front of me where I had reminded every one that the meeting was in a few days time. Then I made a few changes to the email, explaining the meeting was now cancelled and sent it off into the atmosphere. When I checked the progress of this email I found that I had sent the original one telling them when the meeting was on and such. Red faced I had to send another email straight away, apologising profusely and saying the Meeting was actually off, and please don't come. So far there have been no responses as I sent my email after work hours, now I just have to wait and feel a bit awkward. Have you ever been in an embarrassing moment and wished the ground would swallow you up??

Do you mean sometimes you can stand on firm ground and wish the ground wouldn't open? Sometimes it seems I only open my mouth to change feet.

Do not feel too guilty we all make mistakes. They will understand, it's not so bad.

Everybody makes mistakes - I'm sure they will all understand. Either that or they will think you're off your rocker

oh yes, I've had my share of those moments! Aren't they awful? It's that feeling that everyone is staring at you and everyone knows what you did! when in fact, no one is staring and no one has a clue! lol

I'm sure they'll understand. My embarrassing moment was in high school and I sent an "I love you" text to my girlfriend. Then I realized... I sent it to my mother!
