I Have Teeth

Now I just need to learn how to eat with both sets. I'm trying at the moment as my next door neighbor left me some smoked salmon while I was gone. My first attempt at eating this succulent fish, didn't go so well for the bottom partial. It's now sitting on my desk. So I'll need to glue it in so it won't fall out when I eat.
My follow up appointment is in six weeks. By then I should have my teeth mastered.
I did ask why the upper denture's teeth are so short. And you thought I would forget to ask. It's because to have them any longer would make the upper lip stick out. No, I don't want that. He did fix it though so it wouldn't hurt any longer on the one pressure point I had. So all's good with the upper denture. Now to get used to the bottom denture, and that's going to take some getting used to. I feel like I got a lot of foreign objects in my mouth and very uncomfortable, but I'll get used to it.
I wonder if that's why George Washington never smiled.
If you have dentures, how long did it take you to get used to them?
Thanks for reading.

I only wear a partial. Actually need to get a new one made. First I'll need to make sure I have coverage before I make the appointment for a molding.
Hubby has had his upper plate for about 4 months. He still hasn't mastered eating with them while wearing them.

I have no choice but to be patient. I've gotten used to the upper, now I need to get used to them both.

I wish I had dentures. I figure on getting some when I get some other financial things taken care of. Hope you get used to them soon and they are comfortable for you.

@celticeagle Thank you. I've had to let the partial sit in the cup for two days now. It rubbed my gum raw.

I have my braces and it is for 2 years now. It is still difficult for me to handle my braces. It also feels uncomfortable. I hope I will have my braces removed finally.

My upper plate didn't take long; I guess that's because it is secured to the jaw that doesn't move much @just4him . I still have to have all 10 bottom teeth pulled before I can get a plate and I think that would be tougher to get used to. Of course at the rate I'm going, with the cost being over $1,000 at one place and almost $3,000 at several others, I may never get it done.

There is a lot of work waiting for you.First you have to get used to them. Then you have to use
them expertly to eat all those foods you have
been waiting to eat. I think I should wish you
bet of luck.

I've gotten used to the top denture, it's the bottom partial that's taking longer. It's been sitting in the cup for two days now because it rubbed my gum raw and now it needs to heal before I attempt to put it back in my mouth.
