Pub Sign Study – The Sportsman – Hyde, Cheshire

One of the funniest signs I have seen in my quest. Many sports related pubs have a bias for one sport or another, with football pubs dominating the scene. Hyde’s Sportsman in Tameside, Cheshire, wants to play every sport at once, and struggles with a heavy selection of balls, guns, fishing tackle, and bats. He even has a different sports shoe on each foot. A bird, or a hunting lure rests on his head.
A silly sign, but great fun to see.

Well, this is one establishment who didn't want to alienate any of the sports fans that might drop in for a drink.
