What Is It About Burgers??

As a foodie I always find food discussions to be fun and appetizing lol Last night my wife and I had an early dinner so by 8 pm we were both hungry and began discussing fast food until we ended up buying burgers for a late dinner lol We both had big bacon cheeseburgers with fries on the side and it was worth every penny. We were soo full that in the end we were both just eating it to be fattys.

The only time I eat burgers is when we buy an eye round roast, my husband grinds it and we make me burgers, no fat/grease. I have not eaten fast food in 35 years., nothing fried.

@JudyEv I cannot stop laughing that smell of fried food could be so over powering that it creates a craving for hamburgers and fries.

@dpk262006 For a start it is the smell of fried food. It instantly creates a desire for hamburgers and fries.

Going by the comments here, I think I may be the only person who doesn't like burgers! They are either too fatty and greasy or they are so dry, it's like eating cardboard. I've never been a fan of fried food. The smell and the taste often make me feel sick. I even made burgers myself once, thinking I might like them if I made them. I didn't! As an adult, I've discovered that I actually do like some foods which I didn't like as a child. It seems it wasn't the food I didn't like, but the way it was cooked. For example, I like grilled bacon but don't like it if it's fried.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX A lot of the time, the food itself isn't unhealthy but the way it's cooked. For example, a piece of lean bacon, when grilled, is a good source of protein (although you would need to be careful of the salt content) whereas, if it's fried, there's the fat it's fried in plus the fat from the bacon seeping back into it. Of course, some foods are bad no matter how you cook them because they are so full of bad things. A little bit of everything, I say, is a good thing :)

I do not like burgers because these are made of refined flour, which is not good for our digestive system. I prefer to have some home cooked food rather than dining out or ordering something from the market.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX - I did not suggest that you should stop taking burgers or you should not enjoy burgers, it is your choice after all to decide what you want to eat.

Refined flour wont stop me from eating a burger ever, id rather have mine without ketchup cause of the GMOS in it etc
