Hi, friends! I have spent the last few days trying to catch up on notifications. I'm not quite done, but didn't want you to think I left the site. There has been a lot going on in my world.
My birthday party was a success and thanks so much to you all for making it extra special.
Our grandson graduated from kindergarten fluently reading, writing, and mastering all his subjects. He won a journalism award, but if they had an opinion column, he should have won that. His birthday card to me was proof of that!
Our older son works in the legal department as senior consul for the largest consulting firm in the world. He was apprehensive last week, because he had to give a presentation to the head CEO in his office. He told me it went extremely well, and the other attorneys and CEO were very pleased. Of course, I can't tell you what the presentation was about, because after hearing the first few words out of my son's mouth, I was clueless.
Not everything is hunky dory here. My hubby is going for a CAT scan shortly. He walked out of an open MRI last week, because he is claustrophobic. Our hard drive went kaput, so we bought a new one yesterday. Our decorator is coming to measure and draw up floor plans, and I have no idea what style or colors I want in our family room. Hopefully, she will give me good suggestions.
Now, back to my notifications!

It looks like you were all having a wonderful time judging by the picture.
Congratulations on your grandson's graduation.
I hope that your hubby can get thru the CT Scan without too much difficulty, and that he gets good results.
We just had to replace our computer too, I'm not using the new one just yet, I haven't quite had it with this one yet and I hate that learning curve.

@DianneN We just got home from our evening walk and I did kind of get bawled out a little by my hubby because we've had this computer for about a week and I haven't even touched it. But I told him that as soon as (he) transfers all of the files that I need from our hard drive, then, and only then, will I start using the new one. He knows that I'm dragging my heels because I hate change. He just got the anti virus on it this morning, he bought a 2 year subscription 6 months ago, but it was on this computer and he had to contact them to get a link to get it onto the new one.

@Juliaacv No one knows a thing about computers in my house. My son is too busy with work. My brother bought me an echo with Alexis on it. You just talk, and it will play any song you want, give you the weather for any place, the time, etc. it arrived last Friday and is still in the box! I'll bother the geek to help me set it up. I'm so duh with technology. All my hubby knows is speed and capacity. He did really well at the store yesterday.

Yes, we had a wonderful time and thank you for the congrats on my little bug's graduation. Thankful for that school and all they've done.
My hubby made it through the CT scan like a real man. Results next Wednesday when he meets with the doctor.
Our computer is at the hospital having everything transferred to the new one we ran out and bought yesterday. The geek will be back next week to hook up all our paraphernalia and show me how to use it. I strongly understand why you're still on your old laptop!!!

@DianneN - I have arthritis in my neck. I went to physical therapy for six months and I see a chiropractor once a month. Both have made a tremendous difference!

Wow! A lot is going on in your life. I'm reminded of a movie that I saw a long time ago. I really don't remember what the movie was about but it had an interesting title and that is what I remember. It was called: The Agony and the Ecstasy. And isn't life like that?

Welcome back, friend! Your post seems similar to any post I could have written a couple of days ago. I had my birthday, family matters and doctor´s appointments. All of them take time and my daily earnings went down to a few cents. I don´t care much about the monet, but it gives me an idea of the interaction I have had. Now back again to mylotting, same as you.

I'm far behind on my notifications because I think everybody is here and making sure they have their payout for June. So I have almost 200 right now to deal with.
Congratulations to your grandson for getting a journalism award in Kindergarten. That's simply amazing! I remember Kindergarten, they didn't teach us anything. We played, and drew pictures and took a nap. That was about it. Kids learn so much more today.
I hope your husband does better on the CAT scan. Good luck with the new decorating project.

Thank you! I caught up last night, almost, but here I am again!
I did the same as you in kindergarten, but also wet my pants almost daily, unlike you! Lol!
My husband completed the CT scan successfully, and we will know what his problem is next week. Hopefully.

At least there are more positives than the negatives in what you narrated , specially that of your grandson and son .
That picture , was that during your special day . You look lovely in that black dress . I like the style . And oh i love your hair , the style and the way it suits your face well , my friend .

Well, first of all congratulations to your grandson .... and of course his parents and you.
I'm so glad you had a wonderful Bday. Sooo, you had how many martinis?
I sympathize with your hubby, I hate those MRIs and pray I never have to have another one.
Oh what a bummer, were they able to recover your pictures and documents? So I'm guessing a new mother board is cheaper than a new computer.
I wish I could afford a decorator, I'd have the whole dillybob trimmed with beiges and tans then I can switch the items within to whatever colors strike my fancy. I've always wanted a light colored bamboo floor. Aww dang, see whatcha did, ya made me go and dream

Many thanks on the successful stories. They are checking my hubs for arthritis in his neck and numbness in his fingers. We shall see. They told us they could recover our photos, videos, and documents. We also had them on an external hard drive. Our monitor is fine, the geek said, so we bought a wireless keyboard and mouse. The tower is smaller than our last one and has so much much storage and lightning speed. Of course, I have no idea about that stuff, but I trust my son, hubby, and geek for okaying this.
I've made so many decorating mistakes in my lifetime, that I need a decorator. My family room is all light beige now - carpet and furniture, with color accents. I want to French it up I think, and rip out the carpet and put in tile floors with an area rug. We shall see.......

Nice to hear all the good news. Our families certainly surprise us don't they? Hope all will be well with your husband. Decorators usually have decent suggestions.

@DianneN They have to be good at finding out what you really want but didn't know it.
