I broke a dish.

This is my first in a long time. I´m glad that it was one of very few left, but I still liked it. And I pride myself that I don´t usually break anything. The kichen was very full of all sorts of things this evening. I had to put away some of today´s lunch leftovers. The dish was in the fridge and I did not see it when I put something else there. And there were lots of pots and pans, skilleys and bowls. I had been cooking for tomorrow´s diner with my daughter. Finally she called me and told me that she did not mind that I go to Dixie´s and that she could come on Saturday for lunch. So I placed the rice and the tongue in tupperware and I´m washing the pots little by little. I am acquiring wisdom lately. I decided that I would not cry over spilled milk. The dish broke. So be it. One thing less to clean. Do you break dishes or glasses once in a while? How do you react?

@missjessicadawn In fact, I have a wonderful set of japanese china I inherited from my mother. Maybe I should use it.

@marguicha That's good. It gives you an excuse to pick out a new set. :-)

Mine was a Corelle dish too. But there are few left from that set. I inherited them from my mother and I guess her carekeeper either broke the rest or took them to her home.

We break stuff periodically and it can be a little heart breaking.

No. This is a chance to add and for a change especially when you break such things.

I break them often which is why I usually get bland or plain dishes as the store usually sells matching

well, they didn't exactly fall but they were moments before that I wasn't carefully handling them.
