oh Geez! Why did I have to walk home in the dark?

I mean, pitch black! No street lamps for miles! I had a flashlight with me, and my phone's flashlight but I didn't use them. Not for long anyway, as it was scarier with them on then it was without them.
Obviously, this was another dream I had.
My work place (in reality) is fifteen minutes away but in this dreamscape it was only five minutes away and I was leaving. It was still pitch black, and I was walking home. I'm not quite sure why I decided to walk, but I felt followed the whole time. I started to run but was scared I'd end up in the water. I'm not sure why I thought of water because I don't live near it. There would be a bridge I'd have to cross in reality, and I suppose my dreamscape made it into a bridge with water underneath. I don't know, but I was terrified and started to jog.
I finally got to the road I live off of and started to use my phone to call family to unlock the door. I was up the steps when I saw a car pull into my driveway.
This was where it was odd. I didn't recognize the car but in my mind I thought "this looks similar to an exes car and also to my brother in law's old car. Anyway, the girl started to get out of the car but I rushed down the steps and stopped her, giving a menacing glare. She moved to the passenger's side but didn't get out. Then she moved to the back seat and started talking to me.
This is where I gets creepy. She says "You are Eternal." Yup her words exactly. "You could have died several times tonight but you survived." Then she proceeded to tell me how to keep surviving. I was scared, more for her sanity than anything but I said
"Thanks" and she left.

I wouldn't say memory, but I am sure it has meaning attached to it. There was more to it, and I didn't really clarify all the emotions that were boiling through me. It was a strange dream indeed.

@skysnap Yes. I would have written it out in more detail but I think it would have taken away from it's meaning really. It's still stuck in my head and I woke up from it nearly 12 hours ago!

That is nightmare not just a dream . I would have been shouting in that and my hubby would be waking me up if that's my dream .

@SIMPLYD that old dream atleast. This new one is a bit weird. The dark setting and work? Well I do work thrid shift, and sometimes it's still dark (5 am) when I leave so... The rest, however, is weird.

THe fear wasn't too palpable, but it was still there. Now that it's over, I just keep thinking of how odd the last part of the dream was.
I once had a dream, back when I was dating my now ex husband. That dream entailed me being chased by a character in a t.v. show. This person wanted to kill me. The scary part was that though this person was on a t.v. show, in my mind I thought "this is Jon" who is now my ex husband.

Maybe so.. It was strange regardless. I'm only close to the water when I"m at work, but it's still a ten minute walk across the street and down the road.

Yes. I believe they come with meaning to them.

Yes that is something I've been thinking on all day, the "eternal" thing.
I don't know who the girl is but I've heard that ever face you see in a dream? It's someone you've, at the very least, seen before.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It is true that sometimes in my dreams I see faces that I do not know but I am sure I have already seen.

@LadyDuck Have you ever had the situation where, you know the person in real life, but in your dream their body and face doesn't match up to what you are calling them? I've had that happen. I'll be looking at someone, but calling them by someone else's name.

I've always wondered if dreams have real meanings or not. Have you ever liked into dream meanings online! ? Because that last part is definitely worth looking into.
