What's For Breakfast?

This is a free image of a breakfast buffet. I did not cook it.
I did make a smoothie for my husband and myself.
I freeze bananas when they are getting over ripe. Sometimes I make banana bread, but in the summer I like to use them in smoothies.
Today I used frozen bananas, canned pineapple in juice, homemade yogurt and a splash of black cherry juice to make a smoothie. It was very refreshing. I will admit that I am going to go make toast now to go with my coffee.
I know some people cannot even stand the idea of breakfast, at least not this early, but I always want something when I get up.
We had rain last night and it is cooler today. I am enjoying it. I hope your day is going well as well.

I could put spinach or cucumber into this, but I will eat my spinach later.

@GardenGerty I've tried the smoothies with veggies and aren't as impressed with them. I think @JudyEv nailed it, it's the color that is off putting. I'd rather eat my veggies and keep my smoothies full of fruits. Have a blessed day

I have to rethink my breakfast habits. Today I had a Greek yogurt with 2 tablespoons of wheat bran. And of course I had my coffee! I am trying to incorporate more protein into my breakfast.
Bananas tend to make my stomach queasy. The only time I can eat them is if I crave them.

Just a straight banana is not my favorite, but I love to blend them into things. I try for a good amount of protein. My homemade yogurt is much like Greek yogurt. I start with a brand of milk that has extra protein concentrated in and then I add even more milk solids before scalding it and making my culture.

@GardenGerty my mother attempted to make homemade yogurt many years ago. Not what she expected it to be, so she never tried it again.

@ElusiveButterfly I have had some failures but my dehydrator made it so easy this time. I never had tried it before.

It is nice here as well. We had rain last evening and it makes a tremendous difference in the temperature here. I think I can always eat breakfast.

@Marcyaz It cools us sometimes but also adds to the steam.

I can always eat breakfast. Rain here doesn't make much difference in the temperature.

I know some people who believe that bread is a way to get fat. I try to eat some of everything.

Liz made us all smoothies for breakfast the other day. She added some of her It Works greens to them.
I just got in chia seeds for review so will add them to foods and drinks and see how I feel about them. Heather uses them all the time and swears by them.

I don't understand how people can go without breakfast, it is my favorite meal of the day. I had scrambled eggs and waffles (I made both myself, including the waffles, they were not the frozen variety) and a glass of almond milk.
I also love breakfast buffets, because I still believe breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day, (don't know what the latest health pros say about that) and to make a breakfast that big every day is too much, I rather have someone else cook it.

I love to make stuff up in advance and put it in the freezer so I can have as much or as little as I want. Of course there is coffee.

@GardenGerty I do that too when I have the ingredients, but I only had enough eggs for one batch last time.

I am not even sure if my concoction classifies as a smoothie. Fruit with yogurt is good. I think your body kind of tells you what you need.

If I am just eating by myself I would enjoy any and all of those dishes.

Oh dear.. for me breakfast is very important i always wake up early to make a full blown meal lol like rice omelet bacon ham or maybe pancakes and fruits and some dessert. But if im in a hurry a sandwich would do and a nice cup of freshly brewed coffee... i def. Cannot function all day if i hadnt have bfast. I could go with no lunch or dinner tho.

By the end of the day if I did not need to feed my husband I could easily go without much of a meal.

I just don't always have all the ingredients I need so some foods go to waste, also, foods can go bad if I don't use them quickly enough. I often have to buy a certain amount that I don't necessarily want or need. . It is truly difficult to feed just one person.

You are a very nice lady. You know many things especially foods and cooking. I think it's not late for me to learn. I might enroll short term cooking class.
