Another day has started. There are lots of small things to do, things of no consecuence.
At the rest of the world, big things are happening. People wonder what will happen after the UK leaves the European Union. The first changes are happening now in the markets.
We don´t really know how an event will really change the world or a part of it. I always heard about the butterfly effect, but there are several kinds of butterflies.
Many years ago, an English newspaper was using its first page to tell about how Napoleon had come back from his exile. It was the biggest news then.
In the same newspaper, there was a small announcement of a conference that was going to be given by a certain Mr. Faraday about electromagnetism.
If we now compare both news, probably the one more important for the future are Faraday´s discoveries.
Can we we part of the butterfly effect? Can we do something, anything, that helps change things for the better? What?

I'm not sure I can make much of a difference but if I try to be everything I should be maybe others will follow suit.

I always thought that if I cared to be as good a mother as I was capable of being, something good would come out of it. As it is, I am proud of both of my children although I don´t know how much I helped.

No idea what things a regular person can do to make such an effect. I too am curious how the UK leaving will affect things globally as well. Though I've not gotten on the news to see what has happened since it was announced.

If we think that this great change is the result of a referendum, then the vote of each person has value.

I believe in karma and feel that what we do and say comes back to us whether it is good or bad. We have the power to make the world worse or better with the choices we make. We never know what the long term effects will be until the future. But we can try to be our best as much as possible.

I haven't had the news on today but I guess there are things going on in the world that I'm unaware of

I feel we should be more united as united we stand, divided we fall.
Now we are working at cross purposes, more keen on making profits out of arms and armaments that will only destroy us and eventually our beautiful and enchanting planet.
And that will be a terrible epitaph and karma for human species - siva

True. We are not usually aware of the power of the individual and we let the powerful people take us like lambs to where they want us to go. It is not the common people who are interested in armaments.

@Shiva49 I absolutly agree. And their greed is what makes common people poor and in want.

@marguicha I deal with people of all nationalities and we have no enmity as the common folks live as we should - live and let others live.
Our selfish politicians divide us with emotional blackmail - siva
