Around my neck of the woods, the white yarrow is almost invasive. It grows everywhere. However the yellow yarrow and colored marrow such as this Colorado Mix are in high demand by gardeners and herb growers. It doesn't take long for this durable perennial to establish itself as a healthy patch. Every three to five years it is in the best interest of the plant's health to be divided and the soil to be enriched with organic matter.

I love yarrow. I have had it growing in my gardens many years ago. I didn't know that the white is invasive.

We have some in a couple of places in the community garden. I hope to start some at my house. I remember seeing the white basically as a weed when I was a kid.

Durable is right. My grandmother had it in her yard. It is pretty. And a good natural supplement for helping with hormones, cramping. fever and other things.

I don't know anything about yarrow. I think it's a herb and used in homeopathic medicine. Is that right?
