Ants ... Can't live with them. Benadryl anyone?

I was watering the lawn just last night, and saw a few ants crawling up the house.
It was only after spending a half hour watering everything and getting back in the house that I realized I was itching like crazy all over and had tiny bites and welts in the fold of my knees, along my legs and up around the back of my neck.
I took a soap cloth with cold water to my legs and rinsed those fuzzy round things that stick like glue to my hair and clothes and had a heck of a time getting them out of my hair when rinsing after a wash.
I had been out and about in the back and in the alley cutting away at the over growth of small hackberry trees that tend to form just along the bottom of the fence and I have to say, the heat doesn't seem to bother those ants.
Trouble is, my wife told me they may not be ant bites, but rather, mosquito bites.
If so, I hope I don't get sick from Zika or West Nile. I had a bird bath up for a few days then drained and rinsed the tub and it was free of algae or mosquito larvae. In fact the Robbin and Grackle seemed to be quite fond of the water. I decided to use a 5 gallon conical shaped pot full of water at the base of the pin oak tree. Then after a few days, pour the water out onto the trunk base to get water down to the tree's root system then fill the thing back up and let it set for a few more days, that way the birds have a bath under the shade and I can put the water back into the soil having been a few days to set and allowing for the chlorine to evaporate thus making the water better for the tree.
It's a win win, but meanwhile I must find those ant beds and find a method to get rid of them so I don't continue to get bit. I really believe the bites were from ants.

I hate ant bites. In a way, I think they are worse than mosquito bites.

You will usually get bit several times before you actually realize it and by then you get spots of itchyness and swollen red bumps that really bug you.
