Is regret worth the trouble?

Regret, such a useless word. So many people go through life with regret. Oh how so many people’s lives would change if they would just let go of regret and just embrace it. Regret is just a negative emotional reaction about something someone has or hasn’t done and wishes they could change. Unfortunately time travel doesn’t exist and thus we cannot change the past. The things we’ve done (and haven’t done) are what makes us who we are today. If we were to change something in our past then we wouldn’t be who we are today. If it were truly possible to change the things that we regret, the people and things in our lives that we have may not exist and that would be the true regret.

Regret is a wasted emotion really, isn't it?

Completely. I hear it from people all the time! I wish I could change this, or that. I really regret doing that. Why... you'll never be able to change the past and you would never be the person you are today :)

Regret belongs to the past.. I have no regrets. I take life as it comes and I am happy.

I agree. My life is one 'I thought it was a good idea then' after another and still, here I am!
