Lost data and pictures

My external hard drive got corrupted and I lost all my pictures in the process. This morning I realized a few of them were online as part of my blog posts or linked to the articles I have written over the years. My search helped me find a few pictures online. I was happy to have found this picture of a Java cassia tree at the lake.
This is one of my favorite pictures because it has many happy memories associated with it. My husband and I often sat by the lake when we dated years ago.
I am thrilled to have found this picture today and wanted to share it here. I could always get a similar picture but this was a picture taken on one wedding anniversary a few years ago.
Do you enjoy enjoy going through your pictures and reminiscing over the past?

Perhaps your hard drive was destined to get corrupted so you could stop by and take a look at one of your memorable photos.

@sofssu I do most of mine, some are in folders that are locked. I have pondered starting a photobucket account or something though

@crazyhorseladycx Its really hard when you lose data like that. I guess i know how you feel. Most of our collections are close to our heart.. and yes those memories are often worth visiting.

@hereandthere THe java cassia leaves are a wee bit bigger than the tamarind tree leaves. Dropbox is a good idea.

When I have time, yes. It would be sad to lose favorite photos. I have hard copies of many of mine as I didn't have a decent phone when I went on trips back in the day, but I've not had time or made time to organize all the older ones as yet and may never get there.
