Game end. My team won and I am elated. / myLot

Yesterday I saw the finale of the Copa America, an international soccer game that includes the US. The finale was played between Argentina (the favorite) and Chile (my country) in New York at a big Stadium filled to the top. The game was great and it would have been enjoyed even by someone who did not know about soccer. Both teams played very good and none could make a goal during the play so the match was defined by penalty shots. AND WE WON! I am sure that youngsters and not so young at the city where I live went out and they had a sort of carnival in the streets downtown. For us, chilean people, this is history.

In South America, soccer is THE game. We are proud. Everyone was watching and there were no cars in the streets during the game.

The top player from Argentina is leaving. Not ours. Messi, from Argentina, is one of the top players in the world. Yet he missed a penalty at the end of the game and that helped with our victory.
