It's Monday!!!

Good Morning to all my fellow myLotters (or afternoon/evening). I'm starting my day with sunshine and the much needed mug of coffee. I can't sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet because the lawn people are here and it's too noisy. The weekend was busy so I had very little time to spend here. My 10 year old grandson graduated from elementary school on Friday and will be going to middle school in Sept. He was thrilled and looked so cute in his cap & gown. Seems that they make a big deal about graduations these days. Back in my day (the stone age) we only had 8th grade and then high school graduations. Yesterday my youngest granddaughter had her 7th birthday and she was so excited for days that her birthday was coming. Most of her gifts were cash so she's going to ToysRUs for a shopping spree. When you're 7 being able to pick out toys is exciting. I also managed to get to spend time with my mom at the rehab so all in all it was a busy but good weekend. Happy Monday!! hope it's a good one

Sounds like you had a very busy weekend filled with fun. School these days seem to have a graduation for every grade. lol

Congrats on your grandsons graduation.. now it does seem they have graduation for every class.. LOL we only graduated from college with a degree. Belated birthday wishes to your granddaughter. Have a great day.. Mine is almost done.

Caps and gowns for 10 year olds! They don't do that in Australia. Only students graduating from University get to wear a cap and gown. I bet he felt very special though.

Caps and gowns are used here for high school and university graduations. Graduation from elementary school doesn't necessarily mean a cap and gown are worn. It's just a formality.

Glad you had a great weekend. I remember when graduation was just for grade 9 and for high school. And the grade 9 one did not involve a cap and gown. But celebrating is fine for all reasons.

We didn't even have an eighth grade graduation. High school was the first followed by college if you were lucky.
