The Rose

Every year our rose bush grows one, and only one, yellow rose.
My son, C, can't wait for it to fully unfold before he's picking it...for me.
This year I had to bite my tongue to keep from correcting him for picking it so soon. Instead, I thanked him profusely for his gift and suggested that maybe it would fully open if we put it in a glass of water.
And it did.
Now it floats in a cup on our kitchen window sill. Every time I wash my hands or do the dishes, I see it. It makes me smile and reminds me of how precious my son is.
Have your little ones bestowed a sweet gift upon you lately?

I have no kids of my own, but I will be getting married this year and hopefully we have our own little one by next year I love to listen to stories people have to tell about their little ones. Children are such a blessing and it really requires to groom them right and make them what they are suppose to be.

A kiss. These days it's hard to get a kiss from my son. He's becoming a teenager and he seems to be embarrassed to kiss me these days which makes me sad.

How sweet is your son. Roses are my favorite flowers and it's my name too.
