To be or not to be

When we are growing up there is always an ambition or dream to become someone . It could be because we were inspired by someone or by the field which looked attractive at that age. As time passes and we grow old our ambition changes . So what was your ambition/ dream to become and who was it inspired by? I always wanted to be a sportsman as I was an active kid and would voice my opinion if I thought a player committed a mistake. At the same time, doctor was a field which I did not want to be. Somehow I used to associate doctor with blood and it was a no for me.

I always liked music as a child. Not sure we have to give up on wanting to be something? As we get older though our ambition will change for sure though. I actually thought doctors were cool except for what they need to do. That would be too hard.

@zap_81 Blood doesn't bother me. Hitting my head on the hard floor does. I asked a doctor once if it bothered him. He said yes sometimes but it needs to be controlled. Can you imagine in emerg a tummy clenching doc running off because the trama injury is upsetting. I guess its part of the job.
Now I want something that isn't too hurtful and not too challenging perhaps in that regard?

@teenspirit Exactly so when I was a child I wanted to be a sportsman and the field of doctor did not interest me. I am sure this is normal and most of the child wanted to be or not to be someone.

I have always wanted to travel more. I am so focused on my work that I don't get to travel more. And there's this financial thing of course when you travel. That's why I admire those travelers that quit their job and pursue traveling. It takes courage to leave everything behind.

@zap_81 I'm a social media specialist in a company. I admire those bloggers who started writing for fun then was able to quit their jobs and do blogging online. Must be nice to see the world.

@greenthumb018 sounds a fun job. You can always plan a trip or two in a year. I normally do that. Plan a couple of trips in a year. It helps you cost wise also if you are certain about your plan in advance. Tickets as well as hotels are cheap.

Even I enjoy travelling. I don't think I like it to have a career in it but yes I o enjoy travelling. I don't know how lucrative travelling is aa a career. I hope it is. Of it is not then I don't see why you would choose that as a career. But all said travelling is fun. What do you do now ?

When I was in kinder, I wanted to become a nurse.
When I was in high school, I dreamed of becoming a nun.
When I was in early 20's, I wanted to become financial consultant.
When I was in mid 20s, I wanted a foreigner husband.
When Im in my 30s now, I wanted to become a teacher and travel abroad and teach English.
It seems none of my lifelong dreams come to life.
I didn't become a nurse, nun, financial consultants, meet a complete opposite of my race, yet I end up becoming a leader in my community, an online tutor, a writer, and has a lot of online friends across the world. And becoming a license teacher is something I look forward to.

I like your tag "Dreams". So in retrospect would you have been something different or you are happy with where life has taken you. On a separate note why would you want to marry a foreigner. I thought people marry if the guy/girl is good irrespective of the his/her nationality?

@zap_81 Thank you. I am happy. Absolutely! It's just that I'm aiming another goal in my early 30's now. Great question though hahah! Because I wanted to wake up the next day with a different race on my side, I'm kinda neurotic romantic hahahha! I think I had put that in my prayer list. I dont know either, it feels like my heart beats for it. I was born with that desire. :)

@mariekomontealto Nice to hear you are happy. I was just curious to know the reason of why you wanted a foreign husband. I guess every person is different :)

You have nailed the point home. I can't tell how many things I can do, I have admired people doing their gigs not knowing that I too am admired the way I handle so many things. I learn very fast more like a copy cat. I watch and observe and then duplicate it that way. Even when am playing the piano, I first play it like my teacher then find more creativeways of playing it. Anyways, I like challenges. If i can see it, I know I can do it.

I guess it is natural for most of the people to be inspired by some person or for that matter some profession or some sports. We a are learning and sometimes the inspiration to do something motivates you to do your best. I guess you have understood the post in its true sense.
