My letter of appointment as a wife

When I took up this as a vow, little did I know that I had a letter of appointment to sign as a wife. The letter was headed so well, with key points highlighted when to start and the job duties and responsibilities were as normal, but what caught my attention was; you are responsible for your husband's health, he must never leave the house hungry even if it means feeding him, have to welcome him back from work at all times, your in-laws are to be respected regardless of what they have said whether offensive or not, a man is not to be answered back, never serve him while standing to name but a few. Of course at the beginning when my eyes perused through this document I was excited and blinded by love and the next thing I knew I had put my signature on the appointment, and the only condition for terminating the contract was death. I know someone out there shares my exact sentiments. let us compare notes on our wife job descriptions

@sunilparthan That is fantastic if you help out sometimes. More of anticipating her need and going ahead to do it. You will automatically have enrolled on the rewards program which comes with benefits.

I believe it would not be a problem if we shared the responsibilities, but it feels like its a one way lane..

@akalinus I did sign that as an invisible letter of appointment that holds the description of what you are supposed to do as a wife.

@jollykizza Does he have to do anything as a husband or is everything only your responsibility?

@akalinus 90% of this is my responsibility, leave alone paying school fees and the mutual conjugal rights which bring us together as a married couple.
