You would say that darning socks was a job of another century. Not so for me.
I have some awesome pure wool socks that are made by artisans. The people who make them take the wool from the sheep and use a spindle to turn the wool to a thread. They are not the kind you can wear with shoes, but they are wonderful in winter to use at home or at night.
And as I have severe vascular problems, my feet get very cold in winter.
Many times I get up in the middle of the night to run to the bathroom and donĀ“t wear any slippers. The socks suffer and after a while end up with holes.
Today as Leticia was here and taking care of cleaning the floor, I decided I would spend that time darning socks.
They are not so beautiful so as to go to a ball clad in them, but they are warm and comfy.
I put on one pair as soon as I finished darning them and here I am, not heater and no cold feet.

I darn socks too. Every time I get the socks and underwear out of the dryer I say "Where are those darn socks?"![](/Content/images/emotes/w00t.gif)

Long thick warm socks are great. I get leg cramps if my feet and legs get too cold especially at night in the winter.

Me too. These socks are an answer to prayers. I was very happy to darn them even if beauty was lacking.
