Goodness me, I am so afraid to miss any . . . so i keep crawling the myLot for more and more PUB's . . . that is Pub Signs from Arthur @arthurchappell who is like me, a collector of sorts! Every morning I look to see what Pub I might find myself in, and each of them have a history in the Sign that has long outlived the pub itself. Are you a follower of the Pub Signs of Arthur? If not - you have no idea what you are missing, they are fascinating, interesting, and will get you DRUNK on History if you give them a try! Thanks Arthur for my daily Pub Crawl, it seems I have missed quite a few over the past days, so i am taking them in faster than I should, maybe I shall get punch-drunk from all the info. Good Morning to all the mylotters - Be Safe and Be Kind to everyone today! I can just give you one Pub Sign . . . its from Brugge in Belgium - Die Halwe Maan

I have read Arthurs posts on the pubs and what he says about them. Most of them are very interesting.

Goodness that is gorgeous. It would be fascinating I am sure to learn the history behind the pub signs. I do suspect most that see them most frequently are not there for either the art or history. If you are doing a series on these I have to catch up...been away from mylot a bit too much...but commitments call.

and a great sign it is too - great golden colouring - he looks quite serious and intense - many Man In The Moon images show him smiling but not not this one @Inlemay

Do you the meaning of the words? I'm guessing 'maan' is 'moon' and yes, I read most of Arthur's posts about pub signs. There is some fascinating history that comes out of his posts.
