I'm guessing that they aren't using their own photos because they don't have any way of putting their own photos onto their computer. Either that or they aren't comfortable using their own personal photos..

Just like yo don't you mean? There is nothing that says you have to use your photo as your avatar, I happen to like mine, I don't want to look at myself each time I post LOL I posted some photos of myself in the photo section of my profile instead.
