President Rodrigo Duterte formally assumes office today. He was sworn as the 16th president of the Philippines. The turn over ceremony was held in Malacanang where he outgoing President Benigno Simeon Aquino handed the power to his successor. The speech was short, it just lasted 14 minutes but the people are full of hopes on his every words. People now are relying on his tough words to fight criminals, illegal drugs, corruption, poverty among others. He sworn as the President exactly at 12 noon.

Short but concise and it embodied the policy statement of his administration unlike that of another one who had nothing to say but blame his predecessor and even blames her for the storms LOL! I did not vote for DU30 nor any other one but I'm hoping he will succeed with "change" which should start from each one of us as he said.

Do you think he will be an effective President? He does not mince his words. Let's hope he does what he says.
