Make It Stop!!!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been on here as much as usual. Things have gotten super hectic at work. We have lost some employees and are now very short staffed and that means I have been working until around midnight to get caught up with everything that needs done. We also had inventory so that was a blast.... *sarcasm*. We got a new girl hired in so most of our time has gone to trainer her. She's doing really well and learning fast so that's good. One of my coworkers is being too hard on her though and it's making everybody mad. We waited a long time to get help hired in and we don't need her to be scared off. Well, I can't be on long. I now have to get ready and go back to work for another long shift. I promise I'll be back on later tonight to get caught up on everyone's comments and to visit your posts! Have a wonderful day!

We are... it's just not worth it to me. My stress level is way too high and it's causing health problems.

@missjessicadawn On one hand you have to be grateful for a job but on the other you are becoming a slave to the job as it is ruling your life.

@JohnRoberts Exactly. I'm super grateful for it, I really am. The job pays VERY well and has excellent benefits. I know that jobs like that are hard to find. I just don't like it controlling my life like it does. :-(

It was very long. Last night I had to work from 2pm until 1am with only a 15 minute break. It was super stressfull. :-(

It is not easy for an already stretched team to take up the tasks of those who quit or who are told to leave - something has to give, preferably a work task that is no longer possible or one that is not critical to the operation.

There are a lot of things we would love to "skip" to make our workload easier... unfortunately, we have to sign off on the list of things to do each day and they watch the security cameras to see that they are done. You can't imagine the stress... :-(

That sounds like a grind at your job lately. I hope the new person sticks around despite the other employee.

I hope so, too. We really need the help. I was at work until 1am last night and then cried from the stress. :-(

Have a wonderful day too. You are so busy with your work. Hope the other employees will show up soon, or maybe because of the holidays in your country?

The holidays are making things busier at work. The store I work at is a grocery store so there are a lot of people buying food for the celebrations.

I hope you get the Sundays off as you previously requested and approved by the management...

I hope so, too! I'm getting tired of them taking them from me and not asking. :-(
