Notes to yourself

I used journal quite a bit a years ago and used it more like notes to myself.. I would write what I had learned each day and also tell myself what I do not like to do through these notes.
I had been doing this for years and then life moved at a rapid pace and I quit writing.
I just found one of those journals this morning.. and reading through it felt so good. These lovely reminders really keep you on track.
I had written this in 2013 .. "I need to love myself enough to feed myself the right food."
That was the time I took a good look at what I was putting into my mouth and started to work on my lifestyle.. I have slackened down a lot.. Reading this put me back on track..
Maybe I should start writing notes to myself again. Do you ever write notes to yourself?

@sofssu writin' 'em down'd be my preference, but found that pryin' eyes 'n nosy folks tended to find 'em 'n read 'em with no regards. jest used's weapons later'n.

I do, only to remind myself to buy this and that after our dismissal or after attending the mass on Sundays or whenever i will be shopping . And i write them on my phone , with an alarm every 3 hours until i do them . It helps me greatly in not forgetting any of them .

Only to do notes when there is so much to take care of that I think I might forget the most important ones. If I wrote in a journal, then I'd never have time to mylot too. I don't do half the things I'd like to do like get back into reading again. If I do that, though, I won't be here as I'd be immersed in the book when not working.

@MarshaMusselman Hmm too many things to do and so little time.. That is the story of many of us.. Wish we could stretch time a bit each day or shorten it when we want to.

@sofssu Not to mention if a person likes to play a few games either online or on a device. I waste a bit of time that way too. Much of it is while on breaks or lunches at work, but sometimes it's just a break from doing what should be done at home.

I have tried to journal some, but I always get side tracked. But that was a lovely note to yourself, and something many of us need to remember.

It's great to know that writing a journal helps you a lot in many ways. Well, I'm lazy to write anything so I don't write on journal.

@Macarrosel I actually used to write three type of journals. A personality journal, a health journal and a spiritual journal. I have just kept up with the last one so far.

no but this is a good idea and i just may get down to it.especially if this helps me look inside me.but i would need to be careful of keeping it private.

It's always good to step back and reflect sometimes we get so busy with life and its demands we tend to neglect ourselves without relazing it.

@AutumnSnow It is indeed .. It great to sit back and reflect at the end of the day and write even one line about what you have learned that day. It helps you change and evolve as a better person.

Yes. Even I have a habit of maintaining a jorunal. Though I don't fill up pages everyday I do write every alternate day or to the least- twice a week. It really helps. And one should also mention the things one is grateful for. Appreciation leads to abundance :)

@icicleonfire I don't fill up pages ..its more about what I am or what I need to know. Gratitude is indeed the right attitude.. I do most of that in my prayer time.
