I Didn't Think I Could Make it, So I Didn't Try. Bad Mistake.

It took me twenty-three days to get just one dollar, and then I had just eight days to try to make it to the minimum for the next dollar. I sort of gave up before I started. I will blame some of that on my shifts as this was another week of working two-midnight ones again. Wednesday was a day off for me, but I spent most of that day catching up on sleep if that's even possible. For some reason, I almost feel worse doing that than if I just slept normally.
Had I posted something each day, I probably could have made the extra fifty-two cents in the weeks time, but I knew I wouldn't have enough time to visit with everyone that took the time to stop by, so I plodded along like a tortoise.
It's not a big deal and I'll have that much more next month.

Ya I know what you mean, I nearly missed it this month too. Then my 1 post took me over the extra 25c needed to hit the mark.
Ironically the post was how I wasn't going to hit payout

Yes, I really didn't want to write one about this, but for whatever reason, even though people act like they don't like discussion on this topic, it seems to draw many people in like a magnet. Maybe because most of us are in this boat one time or another.

I hope so too. I got one of my editing jobs done already, but am still waiting on the one I thought I was finished with a year ago. I did find out, though, that the next step doesn't start with me but the author. That means she will look for mistakes in the text first and then I'll add to what she finds. It shouldn't take me away from here too much, I don't think. I just don't know when that email will show up.

That's the best part. If you don't make payout this month the balance stays until you do make payout another month down the road.

And, if it does take several months to accomplish, it will be waiting for me however long it takes. Not like the problems folks had from the other site. I got most of my money from there, so I'm not worried about it at all here, nor was I in the beginning either. Still, it's good to know that you can build on what you started a previous month.

The only time I made it for the month was when it was less than the five dollars. I don't find that it's as much to do with how active the site is, but more on how active I can be here. In other words, even if the site seems to be more active than usual, if I don't have the time that day to be here, I won't reap those benefits. When I have the time to do more here, even if I don't make much that day it will benefit me in the days to come.
Heading to work one job and my regular job later at 4pm, so if possible I'll visit in between, otherwise tomorrow.

Why thank you, Claudia, that's so sweet of you to say that. I enjoy reading about your days too even though I'm slow sometimes making my rounds.

@CRK109 Some people never visit with those that visit with them, so at least you do get around even if slower sometimes than some of us. We all have our spurts, I guess. Some just can be here throughout most days, while some of us are more limited and mylot when we can.

@MarshaMusselman I can be slow sometimes, too. No worries. Someone did comment to me the other day that I'm bad about making comments. I guess I've been a little too slow lately! lol

It took me a long time to reach a dollar, but I work two jobs. So it all depends on how much time you have to be here interacting with everyone.

I've been on for almost an hour now and barely got in one response as my browser is running quite slow. I finally gave up and closed it down. I just switched over to firefox and this one is easy-peasy currently. Not sure whether it will continue that way or not.
I have just half an hour or so before I need to leave for my other job. I'll see what I can accomplish before I need to get changed and find food to take.

Oh, I know and understand how much the interacting is the key here. That's partly why I didn't bother to post more these past few days. Posting may have made me what was needed to reach payout, but I knew that I wouldn't be able to interact with everyone that visited with me, so I didn't post anything extra because of that and the reasons mentioned above, in the post.

My month was lacking too so I understand how you feel. Sometimes we can't help spending time doing other things as much as we'd like to be here chatting with friends
