The day is sunny and hot.
After some morning chores, we have decided to making a short trip to see the Bellagio village in Italy.
This is an ancient village, on the shores of Lake Como, that was already famous during the Romans time. It still is a tourist attraction.
I took the attached photo of the Bellagio landing, from the ferry on our way back home.
We have strolled a bit through the narrow steep roads of the village. Then we had lunch on the terrace of the restaurant in the photo.
How have you started this new month of summer?

It'a Canada Day- a national holiday here so many will be enjoying the parks and all the functions provided. We are going to a nice restaurant to celebrate later so am looking forward to that- love the looks of your town- Belllagio is a name also of one of the new huge hotels in Las Vegas! I haven't stayed there but it has an Italian flare and quite beautiful.

I have stayed in the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. It is beautiful, but not as lovely as the real place!

That is definitely a lovely scene. I started the new month with a trip to the grocery store to get the rest of the ingredients I need for the salad I'm making for the July 4th picnic at my relatives' house.

@LadyDuck I see! I was chatting a while ago with a friend who is currently visiting Italy. She posted so many beautiful photos of the places she visited there. She mentioned that the weather is so hot there, so much hotter than we have here.

@CookieMonster46 Yes, it is a tourist attraction, if you consider that not far from this place there are the Villas of George Clooney and the one of Madonna, you can imagine how many curious tourists come every year.

The only Bellagio I've been to is the hotel in Las Vegas, NV. I'm pretty sure it can't hold a candle to the one you visited.

@blitzfrick Many hotels in Las Vegas have fabulous shows, like the Pirate fight at the Mirage, the fake erupting volcano and the speaking statues at the Caesar Palace.

@LadyDuck Exactly! But the NV hotel has that fabulous fountain show. That's all I remember about it, actually.
