Do You See Me?

No, you probably haven't.
The last few days have kept me from seeing you, too.
We spent four hours with our decorator looking at floor plans for our larger family room. We chose sofas, love seats, a chaise lounge, a coffee table, a wall unit, an end table, two French bergere chairs, another table, a bookcase, and began looking at fabrics and an area rug. I had such a headache by then, we set up an appointment for next week.
The Wise Geek set up our new computer and refreshed my memory on how to use it. Lol! It's been a while.
My birthday gift from my brother had to be set up. It's Echo. Today, Alexa can finally do everything I ask her to do.
In between, I have been walking with my friends and went out to dinner with a group of our best friends.
Now, I have a few moments to see what you have been up to, then I'm off for a mani/pedi and barbecue.

It definitely sounds like you've been busy. I'll admit that I haven't spend as much time here, in the last few days. But hopefully I am able to change that in the next few days. Hopefully everything goes well with your new family room.

@LadyDuck It's half our fault, too. We always seem to like the more costly things when given a choice. They want to make it look like a formal living room, but it's just a family room. Of course I want it to look pretty, but without that huge living room expense. Doodles and my grandchildren will have it ruined in one minute!!!!

No furniture until we chose fabrics. Once that is decided, we will place our order. First, we need to choose tiles for our floors, get the carpet ripped out, and have the proper subfloor installed. This redecorating is turning into a huge deal. I'm not happy how much over our budget they went, nor is my hubby.

@DianneN That sounds like some major work. Our painting should be finished today or tomorrow. We've just had the big kitchen/lounge (living room) done by a professional as the ceiling is such a huge area. We can manage the small rooms ourselves.

Wow, who took that picture.? I would have a headache after all those decorating decisions too. I am really not good at that. I do not know how to make it all come together and look nice and be comfortable. And I do not have the money to pay someone to help me with that. So, that sort of thing is a big headache to me.

With Echo, you just say, "Alexa, play Beethoven", or whatever, and it immediately plays music or a radio. It will tell you the weather anywhere, instantly, give you the time, and many other things, which I'm still learning. It is fun, so far.

If I hadn't seen the commercial for Echo I wouldn't have known what you were talking about. I'm glad it's working out for you. I'd have a headache too with all the decorating you're doing. You'll have to post pictures when it's finished. I hope the mani/pedi and barbecue went well.
