Euro Cup Quarter Finals / myLot

I'm not much for watching sports but I do enjoy events such as the Olympics, World Cup Soccer, the Euro Cup, and other national competitions. There is something different about them. They are not all about the money the way most top level sports events are. Yesterday I watched with enthusiasm as Wales beat Belgium. Today I am watching Germany v Italy and rooting for Germany. Didn't really have a favorite in the Poland v Portugal game but do hope Wales beats Portugal in the semis. Tomorrow should be an interesting game when Iceland plays France. France is the home team for the tournament, and Iceland is the 100:1 Cinderella team. The possibility still exists for an Iceland v Wales final match. It's not very likely but then this year's tournament has already seen some unlikely outcomes. Do you follow fussball, futbal, or as we Americans call it, soccer? If you do, who are you pulling for to win the Euro Cup?

It's not called the UEFA cup. That is a completely different competition.

You are correct and I will edit my title. It is the Euro Cup, played under the auspices of UEFA. Pardon my laziness.

@DWDavis No, it's understandable for people in the US to confuse them. I don't think the UEFA cup exists any more having been replaced by the UEFA Europa League.

I don't watch but I do know about Iceland being a long shot. Since hubs is Portuguese I think I am rooting for Portugal to take it all!!

Sadly, Iceland fell to France today 5-2. Still, for a 100:1 shot to make the elite eight was epic.

I'm watching the germany italy game now. I hope italy wins. Great game yesterday when wales knocked out belgium...best result in welsh football history I think. I don't like portugal purely as I can't stand ronaldo

Currently I'd be supporting wales due to englands exit.
