Before I left this late afternoon in my parents house, I saw my niece studying her lessons at her study table and she asked my help in making her school assignments. OMG, I pity this little girl, struggling herself to study and in making her assignments.
I asked her what subjects she's going to answer or making her assignments. She gives me her 3 assignment notebooks. I let her do the answering first if she really understand her lessons and yes, she did some. She got only 1 mistake. I helped her understand the procedures, illustrate some and viola, she made it right.
I told her, tomorrow when you came home early just asked my help so that I can monitor your daily lessons and help you understand and also help her on how to read.
I hope she can come home early tomorrow from school so that I can teach her on her assignments or reading books.

it's hard to ignore and not help her. it's not her fault she's in your parent's house. and it looks like she's eager to learn.

You are a very helpful aunt. Your sister/brother must be very happy that you support their daughter. It is such a great help especially on the part of a teacher knowing that they have someone who also helped them in teaching the kids. As a teacher in a public school, I have seen some parents/guardians who just let the teachers do all those teachings to their kids as if we are handling very few students. Having more than 50 students in a class is very difficult because not all students can be monitored properly. It is a good thing that their family members also help them with their studies.

That's great to know you have time to tutor your niece. How I wish I have a lot of time to teach my daughter too. But sometimes even if I have enough time but I'm lazy to teach her Hahaha.
