Poor Lonely Us

Here it is, our big Fourth of July weekend and no one is around.
My older son is in the Hamptons with my grandson (in the middle) and his wife, visiting friends.
My younger son is going to his future inlaws today.
My nephew is on a yacht with his girlfriend and other college friends, sailing around Greece.
One of our best friends and her hubby are away at my favorite spa.
Most of our other friends are away or visiting family.
What are we to do? At least my husband and I are going to a barbecue at my brother's home, and friends of his that I've known for years will be there. And then we'll head to the beach for the fireworks.
Thank goodness someone is around!

You're not that alone after all, just alone without your kids and their families, girlfriends, spouses hehe. Good thing you have other family in the area also!

To be honest, I get tired of being around family all the time. As far as fire-works, I'm not thrilled with them, setting them off or hearing them, but the shows are alright but don't have any great desire to see them. We always have grills in the yard but not on any special occasion. Other than that I'm in a great mood.

@DianneN Steak works for me. I spent most of the day looking for who owns that puppy that showed up at my place. With it being the 4th, nobody was home.

Aw I hope you're enjoying your 4th of July weekend. A bbq and fireworks on the beach sound good to me! :) We don't have anything planned over here. Just lounging around the home. I'm hoping to go for a walk later today. I hope you're doing well. :)
