I am home again. I arrived on Saturday in my home town. I had a very long travel from Germany via Dubai to Philippines. I had a stopover in Cebu city and stayed there for a night before traveling to the city airport near my hometown. All in all I had an 18 hours flight. What a stressful and adventurous travel!
Happenings on my flight home:
1) 6 hours safe and sound flight from Duesseldorf Germany to Dubai.
2) 9 hours scheduled flight from Dubai to Cebu International airport, Philippines.
3) The runway in Cebu was closed because of the strong storm. We had to fly for Manila for an hour.
4) Waited in Manila inside our Emirates plane, refuel and went back to Cebu.
5) Arrived in Cebu late and my long time friend who is already retiring in the Philippines and my new friend and PILYA blogger co-writer who met me in the airport were waiting for me in Waterfront hotel and collected me with the airport service van of the hotel.
6) Having fun with the 2 ladies in the awesome ambiance of the hotel and taking photos for our blogs.
7) Next day, checked in for my domestic flight home with Cebu Pacific airline. I was not allowed to board the plane as I was not in their computer. It seemed that my travel agency had forgotten to pay my domestic flight.
8) I had to buy a new ticket in the ticketing area in the airport. I had to buy Pesos with a very low currency amount just to be able to pay the ticket.
9) My father was admitted in the hospital the day I flown home. He needed 8 bags of blood. He is still in the hospital.
10) My tropical garden was flooded because of too much rain.
11) My dog Angus was able to recognized me and was happy to see me that he jumped on me and tried to kiss my mouth many times.
Now I am recovering from the adventurous travel that I had. I am acclimatizing to the weather, the people, suffering from jet lag and slow internet connection. I am glad I am home and have mastered the challenges that I have met on my way.
How about you? Have you done any traveling this summer?

Just reading on how your travel went on , i already fear travelling in a far place . What if i am on leave for just a few days ? Then , i would have wasted days of my supposedly vacation . But anyway , maybe if i have lots of money i would enjoy those stopovers and instead shop and shop to make myself happy rather than miserable .
How's your father now ? Did you plan this vacation because of his condition ?

You can't travel far for just a few days unless it's just around the corner of your city @SIMPLYD. I don't like stopover but I have to and I don't buy anything during my stopovers as it is costly. My father is still in the hospital and still need more blood. No, this travel is planned months ago and I did not expect to find him in the hospital when I came home. He always picked me up every time I came back.

@SIMPLYD no, I was not surprised that he was sick and still is sick because I was the one who said to my relatives to sent my father to the hospital the day before my flight begun. He is better now than a few days ago but we have him on oxygen at home. Tonight is my nightship of duty taking care of him while I Mylot now while he is sleeping. I still am acclimatizing with the time difference.

Yes, I had @LadyDuck. I have not recovered from my travel home and that is because I am a care giver and a financier . I hope my father will recover soon because I need a retreat from everything. It would be nice to go to the beach now but I am too tired to do so.

It sounds like an arduous journey! However there is no place like home! I'm flying to Ohio for a month of R&R next week. While in Ohio I will be taking some road trips with family members. We have rented a cabin in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, an weekend trip to Indiana is planned and also a journey to Pennsylvania is trying to work it'self into the mix. Best wishes for your father's recovery.

Woah. You had longg day! It's morning here in India and I have just got off my bed. Making some coffee and mylotting. Haha. Monday mornings are usually the most busy ones because the weekend exhaustion leads to waking up late and then everything ahead gets delayed but today I woke up an hour earlier and started with some workout at home. Some stretching and went out for a walk as well. :)
