Right on Time - "Clock Boy" is Back

Do we remember "Clock Boy?" He's the young Moslem laddie from North Texas, USA, who did what was suggested to him to be done. He bought a clock radio or the like, dismantled the thing, put its working pieces back together so as to resemble a terror bomb, stuffed the "clock" and its beeper into a little carry case, and brought the thing to his school to show to his teachers and classmates. His goal, and obviously the goal of those who prompted the kid to do what he did, was to scare his audiences into mistakenly believing that his portable electric clock was really a terror bomb.
They thought so, and the kid was punished - rightfully so - for bringing a fake bomb to school.
When "Clock Boy" was released from his punishment his family spirited him and his fake bomb off to the Middle East to a little country populated with lots of wealthy, but ignorant people. But now he is back in Texas because, as he declares, he became homesick for the USA. Understandable. At least the kid is not as dumb as the rest of them.
What a stupid way to raise a child.

I remember President Obama apologising to the boy but I don't know what happened to him after that.

@toniganzon - Howdy Toni - That's our great president for you. After our leader praised the kid for being such a jerk, Ahmed (Clock Boy) and his whole gang moved to Qatar, home of the free and of the brave.

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - Clock Boy (Ahmed) is in the range of 15 years (mental age probably around 5). Clock Boy's daddy has evidently been run back to Irving, Texas, with the rest of his goofy family. The thing that pleases me about this whole business is that Qatar fed the bunch of them for close to a year such that the USA taxpayers were saved that expense.

I've never heard this story or situation before. When did this all happen, and was it shared in the news recently that you knew he was back?

@marshamusselman - Ms Marsha here is a link to the story (part of the story)...
His return has just hit the news. Unfortunately for young Ahmed, his Daddy came back with him.

Did you read up on his father? He's kind of a nut case and a self-anointed Imam, or some such. It was obviously he who got the boy to build the clock-bomb. I was pretty disgusted with that story. I believe the little sh-t actually did get to visit the White House, though I thought that was an "urban legend" at first. Actually, I don't see the kid as a little sh-t. He was just doing what daddy told him to do. I see his dad as a little sh-t. The kid should have been punished for disobeying his science teacher (who was patient with the kid but told him not to show other teachers and students the clock-bomb, so as not to scare them), and then allowed to return to school after couple of days, like any other kid who done wrong.

@Marty1 His father wanted to show how Muslim kids are discriminated against, I suppose. Bring a clock-bomb to school and disobey your teacher, and you'll get in trouble...if you're Muslim. This is (as far as I know) just a crazy example of a Muslim nutcase (the poor kid's father) exploiting America's obsession with political correctness for his own gain.
