It's hard to do desk jobs because you're tied to a place. And even moving slightly can often affects how your senior look at you.
And I wonder how some people keep their health with such jobs. How they manage the health with their job tied to the desk.
I feel quite uncomfortable these days sitting at the same place.
What things you do as exercise for managing health?

well i know sitting job can affect your health, more so, if you have to pretend to keep your boss happy. Well the best thing would be to make the most of your lunch hour. Normally its one hour. I would suggest go for a walk before your lunch and then have your food. After work you can go to gym or a walk outdoor.

do some stretching for couple of minutes instead of just sitting there working all day, you'd definitely expect to have back pain if you don't move your body around much.

You can get up and walk up and down close to your seat or stretch you hands and legs standing close to your seat. At the office your higher ups should encourage such exercises if they want a better performance from their peers.

I've always been self-employed so anytime of the day I feel like lying down on the couch , no one's there to give me that dirty looks ..

I work for myself and have the best boss in the world. I go to the gym 5 days a week for aerobics, on the floor and in the pool. When I worked in an office setting , was almost on my feet all the time. Sitting at a dark would make me crazy... A jump rope might work during your breaks...

I know that desk jobs affect people's health, but I tend to believe that it is very important to have a balance in our life.
For instance, after a 8 hour-work day, some sport is necessary. At least 30 mins are great in order to have our muscles relaxed and our mind clearly. This sport could consist of some simple exercises if we don't have enough free time. Some websites with physical exercises:

Sitting at a desk all day is bad for your health. There are exercises you can do while sitting at the desk to stay in shape. Or you can wake up early or stay up late to go to the gym. I know it is hard to find time to work out and it is hard to eat healthily but it is something everyone needs to try and do so we can all live long healthy lives.

I am frequently urinating and our comfort room is outside our office , and have to cross a lobby just to go to the bowling place's comfort room . So, those walking to and from the CRs are by itself exercise to me , because i walk briskly . Also , i go up and down the stairs to the third floor once in a while to audit the cash among other things .
They serve as exercises to me . ![](/Content/images/emotes/wink.gif)

yes, I completely agree that sitting jobs are very tiring. I usually take breaks in between and do some stretching exercise. It helps me a lot, to revive.
