Let me be honest with you guys i'm a Ronaldo fan and this dosen't mean i hate Messi or i dont respect him. Everyone has his/her own opinion and i think Ronaldo is better than Messi, but they both are legends and i respect both of them.
Couple of weeks ago i heard Messi retiring from international football, that was the most shocking news ever for me as football freak. but now he is back again saying that he is taking a break till november after then he will continue, i'm really very dissapointed.
I personally feel that first off all in any game whether its football or not win or loose dosen't matter , dedication does.
The final match of 'copa' where argentina loose to chile, he announced his retirement. He not only shocked the whole world but also took away the chile celebration period , the media got distracted , the world got distracted !!
But what about Chile ?? Tell me your opinion guys. Have a wonderful day ahead

@sofs Yes i respect his emotional state, i truly do. But at that time everyone was so obsessed with messi that they didnt even realise that chile actually won the final. Offcourse its not about winning or loosing but yes his emotional state does effected the Chile's golden celebration period.

I heard about his retirement from international football tournaments but I do think he will still play football in commercial leagues.
Did he say that he will play for Argentina again?

I am a Ronaldo fan too but I feel for Messi. He should be back and who knows we might see him losing another final
Jokes apart he should have one more opportunity to win something for his country but he lacks the leadership quality, the dedication that Ronaldo has. That's totally my opinion

@hercules7 haha who knows what gonna happen next. I totally agree with you he lacks leadership quality. Coming back to opportunities my friend , he already got 3 chances. I don't blame him even Ronaldo also waited for 12 years to celebrate.
But the thing is he never give up which I like the most, I am not a messi hater but yeah after hearing his retirement that too at this age made me very disappointed. They both are legend, and retirement is for those who are actually not able to play not because you haven't won the final for the 3rd consecutive time !

@Hercules7 wow, if he wins the balloon d'or this year , then the whole world will go crazy.
First the champions trophy , now the euro n then the FIFA balloon d'or. Then this will be the most luckiest year for him ever !

I think that he took the right decision not to give up international football. At the age of 29 he still has enough strength to play for Argentina for several years and try to win that international trophy that he has been so close to in 4 finals. I appreciate him for changing his mind and I think he will be a key player for Argentina at the 2018 World Cup, and maybe he will finally win that international trophy he misses so much.
