Calling just to be calling / myLot

I have about 3 friends who call just to call. I don't know if the phone annoys me or I'm always doing something, but talking on the phone is the last thing I wan't to do. Especially if the other person has nothing to say.

I enjoy getting phone calls, but better short than long unless it's one of my relatives.

I hate talking on the phone when someone calls the house because it's a corded phone so I can't go anywhere or do anything while I'm on it.
