You Get Knocked Down.... You Get Back Up!!!

Hello All
I know, you cannot win each time. And I am still here... right? Right.
So why not Live it.
Still, it depresses me when I overstep and try going beyond.
Lesson Learned. No more of this emotional thing here there or anywhere. Whatever happened to my belief and following the practice of being emotionally unattached? I failed and paid the price. So I had to get back to that feeling of being "emotionally unattached" ASAP.
Luckily, nothing can keep me down for more than until I want to be down. So lets get back to life, work and.... being here.
During the time I was away, I have done too many things that I consider are good for me -
I had been attending some lectures on Maths... now I can do simple arithmetic right without a calculator...(okay Kidding) - I needed these to get prepared to attend an Entrance Examination. WHAT? Yes, I have appeared for an Entrance Examination to pursue my Masters Degree in Computer Science and results will be out by the end of this week.
I also attended an introductory Free lecture on Art Of Living and plan to attend more of them as these will be useful to me in the long run.
Then, I have even returned back to my days of visiting the local orphanage run by the Church and an Old Age Home. - A-Greed, it is just once a week on weekdays as of now but somewhere you have to take a step to start
And here is a song I have always loved... Hope you like it too.
Stay Positive... You are living as long as you are alive.
Cheers
Sid.

Aha
Missed you too.
most probably, you do not have anything more to study... just a wild guess. Or another one... you are too occupied.
The maths was interesting but also embarrassing at times just because I have been out of context and even could not get what is a+b whole square initially. the exam had about 30 marks of +2 Maths and that was probably the worst section on the question set
Luckily I had maths at the +2 level so they will not ask me to do an extra course for that. It also means, I have to get better prepared with the maths before those papers start.

Dear Sid, it's ok to get emotionally attached with me. I won't break your heart.

@vandana7 I was waiting for your opinion on this.
No. I have no opinions as I am pretty sure I am not aware of much of what you say above - the bloke who said all that about financial stuff and the other things you write about (above).
On another note, I did read your earlier response on this discussion (though now it is nowhere to be found) where in you mentioned me being a bunch of contradictions and you had no time for all this. So if you had no time, how come you could care to return back here, put up all of this (above) and ask me for an opinion?

Thank you my dear friend for your wishes. I do hope that by the time my baby grows up, i will be working again as a Teacher. I feel that the baby will not feel awkward at schools when anyone asked where does your father work. I had to consider this aspect because still after so many years, not many (here in my state) have realized that work can also be done from home.

@changjiangzhibin89 Yes, you are right. I work as a Website Developer and Consultant from home due to health issues. Once I complete the course (if that happens) I will find part time Teaching Jobs or even think of restarting Tuitions from home. The students here, who pursue Masters in Computer Science normally are always on the lookout for Tuitions.

@thesids If my memory serves me well, you are proficient in computer science, the reason why you work from home is that you once had health problem.

it's a hard balance to find, being completely emotionless isn't good, but neither is the opposite.,

I loved that first one hour lecture from the Art of Living. I am waiting for the results of the Entrance tests, so that I can determine and fix on the time schedules. The classes for both would be either in the mornings (which will be difficult for me as of now because my wife works and leaves for work at 6:45 am and I have to babysit my daughter) or in the evenings. I hope that I get the evening slots as that way, it would be easier attending both.

I am so proud of you for being productive and proactive - yes, all that IS good.
One is allowing your mind/brain/career to expand.
The others allow your heart/identity to expand.
We are all given this life, so we might as well make good use of it, right?
There are times when I have been down - some things out of my control - some completely my own doing. I would love to be emotionally detached - but, this human happens to have too much of that emotional trait. So when it's negative, oh, it can easily overtake me if I let it. The same could be said when it's positive, so why not go for the better of the two, right?
We cannot win all the time, that is true. But as long as we continue to try and keep going, it's only a plus for our personal growth.

@thesids To be second on the waiting list is in a good spot - I will keep my fingers crossed that all will work out! And you have the right attitude to continue being productive no matter what the case - always good to have that Plan B.
I forgot to mention that math is not one of my best subjects . . . one could say I am definitely emotionally detached from math .

For sure, we humans have some very complicated and unpredictable behaviors.and somewhere this is an intriguing thing. Definitely when it is positive, it seems so good.
Sadly the results of the entrance test that came in this morning said that I am on the Waitlist and am the second one. If the seats are still not filled up, I should be in but I have to wait. No issues. I have started off with other good things today and do hope that these will keep me occupied in case the worst happens. The candidates who still have many more years, should get preference. I do not have issues on that as I am already 42. Maybe the maths section on the papers had a role to play

We have to live till our last breath and, sometimes, it becomes a struggle to find meaning.
I have to squeeze blood out of stone at times but I just press on as there is no other option.
There is breath of fresh air wafting in when we least expect but also feeling lost at times.
Yes, reinventing ourselves and finding new vistas rejuvenate us.
Life rewards us for our efforts in many ways - siva

For sure, this is very true and has happened with me many a times. I do hope that the stuff Iam getting into and have plans, help me go a long way on these roads.

Thank you for appreciating the post and finding it inspirational. Well, as they say, when there are not that many options visible, one should take a break and start re-looking at the scenario from a different perspective. Taking that break helps me rejuvenate many a times.

As long as you do what you love and make it pay for you.. I guess you are walking in the right direction. However, I guess we don't really have to be emotionally detached.. we just need to be in control over how we react to those situations that cause the disturbance.
