Today, Wednesday 6th of July, 4:40 in the afternoon, we welcomed into this world a brand new member of our family..
She's gorgeous! My first grand daughter 
.. I am so happy
.. At last I have a girl in the family
Girl power!
I hope she grows up with a passion for designing/dressmaking/tailoring. I will teach her all the secrets of the trade..
But for now, I just look forward to enjoy watching her grow and play dolls with her
.. All those girly things that I missed out on when I was a child ..
When my first grandchild was born, I was so anxious because my daughter in law had a really hard labour and she ended up having to undergo a CS ..I was anxious for this second one too but fortunately she had a normal birth this time and it only took about six hours labour..
Baby girl didn't give mommy a hard time
Anyway, do you have grandkids? Aren't they just the most beautiful gifts life can give us the grandparents?..
I'm so grateful for this experience

yeah, it happens when you have many siblings or when the gap between siblings is big, for example, only 3 siblings but 7 yrs apart.

@JudyEv .. thanks Judy , you won't have grandchildren? Maybe your son/sons are like my two younger ones who are not interested in raising children .. But I'm glad my eldest one decided to have at least two kids ..It would not have worried me if none of my kids have children because I could also "borrow" from friends ..

@epiffanie The married couple can't have children and the other son isn't married. We're happy enough about it - no good being any other way.

@epiffanie learning even just the basic such as mending tears and holes and sewing buttons is really useful for both men and women.

thank you @hereandthere .. unfortunately, my sons were not interested in learning my trade.. not even in sewing on buttons on their shirts ..So I'm hoping that this little one will take on learning the trade ..

@epiffanie no, they're leaving from far places. last summer, i saw the son of my youngest son but we're not able to bond because he was confined at the hospital

Congratulations on your brand new granddaughter!! The years ahead will be most enjoyable and I hope you have lots of girly bonding time.I remember how wonderful it was to spend time with my grandma. And yes, I have 10 grandkids (6 boys & 4 girls)

@epiffanie You are a great dress maker.. I am sure she will learn something from you.. Girls are always wanting to make clothes for their dolls and such.. its a nature desire. I don't think that with a gramma like you she is going to look far from the tree.
