In recent times in our local daily there is a report that Grand father locks his vehicle with grand child very carelessly . Police help to break the glass and save the child from suffocation and pain. Repeated incidents in many countries. Is it absolute negligence?

It's not always negligence. I have read some cases where the father (or the mother) were so busy and preoccupied by their work that they had completely forgot that their child was inside the car.

Well in a case like that, the child has to be the priority...No work is more important than your kid.

@snowy22315 This is what I thought, but according to the psychologists, they were so worried to lose their jobs, that they do not even realized that they had put the child inside the car. In fact the Justice did not punish them.

Carelessness certainly. I'm glad the police were able to save the child.

Those things do happen. I once locked my son in the car when he was about 2 months old. I just wasn't used to thinking about a baby Of course i realized it as soon as I did it. Luckily the site where we bought the car was not far away, so they brought up an extra key.

It is illegal and totally irresponsible, not to mention deadly! I wouldn't even to that to a dog.

It might be due to age; old people tend to have bouts of memory loss.

That's scary when your a child trusting an adult that is forgetfull. I wonder if the child survived, i don't think they can trust grandpa again to be with the child again.

If this incident occurs in any hot or gulf countries it is difficult to survive. Actually there is call come to grandpa and he completely pay the attention for it.

Maybe he has very poor memory or is not used to taking the child out regularly.. Just wondering, since grandparents are usually very good with their grandchildren.
