How many of you all are freelance content writers?

I was a freelance writer 5 years back, then I got back to full time job, now I am looking back to return to freelancing writing. How is the job market for freelance writers. Is it worth returning and trying a hand at it ?

Some say, people are earning millions by freelance writing. I haven't seen with my eyes. I haven't earned anything. Maybe there are some smart ways to earn money known to them.

I haven't done much freelance writing but I didn't make a lot of money at it. From comments I've read, it seems some sites have closed down. Hopefully someone else will know more about the market.
