So, the mom asked me to start babysitting today. The little one is here. She cried for the first hour she was here because she's never been watched by anyone except for family before. After that though she's been watching cartoons and happy. =)
I was up early this morning and she's getting picked up at 2am so I have to go to bed in just a few minutes. I am exhausted, I hope and pray I hear my alarm when I set it...
Well, goodnight friends. We will talk again tomorrow!

Hope you hear it too. My grandson and daughter are on meds and they don't hear the alarm at times. He is really bad. I usually stay up all night when school first starts to make sure she is up when her alarm goes off. What would we do without them?

@celticeagle I did hear it, so glad I did! Oh goodness, my husband never hears or wakes up to his alarm at all if he's tired.

Sounds like the baby was a handful and had to get used to being watched by someone else.
You enjoy your sleep. You deserve it.

@LovingMyBabies I'm sure she'll be fine. We all need time to get used to things.

@dodo19 Yeah everything went well. I got up to my alarm so I was grateful for that. With time I think she will get used to us and everything should be fine.

@acelawrites The mom works late so she picks her up when she gets off work.

It is always difficult when the little ones go to a new babysitter, I hope you wake up.

@gudheart Lol, I am glad I can go back to sleep after she leaves but not for long since Julian wakes me up a few hours later.

Kids usually adjust quickly to new people, especially if it is a regular thing. I used to have an in-home daycare and the first day was always the worst. Depending on the age, the kids would always be much more fussy than normal. A few would cry at drop off for the first week, but usually were better after that. Good luck!

@fawkes62 Yeah, I have had a few like that in my 17 years of doing this. I am sure after this week she will get used to being here and adjust fine. =)
