The beginning of the art of story telling

A few years back when I was studying in 12th grade, my Hindi teacher asked us about the time of origin of stories.
To that I replied, "when the first thief was born"
whereas my friend said,
"when the first WOMAN was born."
a serious spark of thought!!!!
I hope there will be a lot more interesting thoughts among you. please feel free to share your thoughts on this

I think the first story was told when the first human wondered "why" and decided to make up the answer.
