How do you feel when you receive text messages from Western Union stating that a John Doe whom you do know has been confirmed that he received the money from you. So strange that you do not even know the person and even you did not send any money yet.
This had happened to me at least thrice a week.
Am starting to think of going to police and report the matter.
Is there anyone that is using my name as a sender, and if so isn't it illegal?
Please advise.

Thankfully I do not get text messages like this. Probably because I called the Do not call registery and added my phone number so I won't get scammy calls or telemarketers. I do get lots of emails though but most of those just go to my spam folder.

Before contacting the police it would be better
to contact Western Union. As it is a text message over phone may be they are sending
them to your phone by mistake.

yeah, the best thing to do is to go to western union and report the incident. If they don't act on it, report it to the police, at least there will be a report about this situation.
