Teach Children to Share....

My neighbor brings toys to his 5 years son. He plays with them very often along with his friends. They enjoy a lot together. But, by the time he sees his father coming he simply takes the toy and goes into the house running with disappointment. The other boy feels very unhappy over this. I have been watching this quite for a long time.
The boy's father whenever he sees his son playing with his friends chides him and asks him not to take the toy outside and play with others as they would break it
After some days the boy stopped playing with the toy and when asked he said that he kept it at home inside Almirah. Slowly, the boy lost contact with his friend as he is playing some other boys in the neighborhood.
So, the father bought the toy for his son only to keep it in the Almirah inside the house but not to play with others.
He only taught his son how to preserve a toy inside an Almirah safely and not how to share the happiness playing with the toy along with his friend.
We are teaching children how to be selfish, greedy and possessive but not teaching them how to share the happiness with their friends. The parents should realize that the toys are meant for playing and for enjoyment but not for keeping years together in a showcase without enjoying them.

Agreed. There's no surprise when some people turn out to be fully materialistic over things, just because of such examples in their childhood.
