Do You Not Want Me To Write About You?

I've been writing a series in which I describe miscellaneous myLotters in limerick form.
So far they seem to have been received quite well, and I don't think I've upset anyone.
However, yesterday I got a personal message from one of my friends here, saying that she hoped I wouldn't do one about her. I do know quite a lot about her, but only from pms we've exchanged, and I would never make any of that sort of information public.
In my verses I only include things which can be gleaned from people's posts - i.e. things that they have chosen to reveal themselves.
However, my friend asking me not to write about her made me think that perhaps there are more of you that would hate to be included. If that's the case you can pm me, or let me know in the response section here.
I'm not sure whether I will do any more in the series, but I'd hate to cause anyone discomfort if I do.

I was tickled that you wrote about me, but you know I like being in the spotlight like that . But I can understand that some people don't want that kind of attention - and that's fine too. You are always respectful of everyone - plus you keep things light and just for fun - if anyone does get offended, I'm very certain it was never intentional. I hope you will continue on with these special limericks for all who do look forward to them!

She's a woman who hides behind scene
Her information is hard to glean
Represented as a cat
Not reluctant to chat
But tracking her down can be herculean

@jaboUK We've got a river Thames, named after yours, and several towns named from your country-Blenheim, Dresden, Chatham, London, Dorchester, and Kent and Essex counties. We're like a mini-YK over here wouldn't you say? Most towns have a King Street or a Queen Street, in honour of Britian's monarchs. Most Canadians feel very close to Brits.

most odd, dear friend. y'ave ne'er revealed nothin' that cannot be clearly gleaned from what folks're written 'emselves/or included'n their profile. one'd think havin' ya's a friend ('nough to pm each other more personal details) it'd be taken's a given that'cha'd not betray their "secrets". then 'gain, some folks're jest plain paranoid?
i always find yer limericks'f folks here most delightful 'n 'twas most humbled to be included 'mong those y'ave already penned.
i do admire ya, 's always, yer delicate manner'n regards to others feelings.
big hugs 'n love to ya! i do hope that'cha don't stop writin' 'em.

@crazyhorseladycx I don't actually know if she thought I would reveal any secrets, or if she just wouldn't have been comfortable having people reading about her. I think it was probably the latter, as I think she knows me well enough to know that I am discreet.
Anyway, I'm delighted that you enjoy my rhymes, thank you.

@jaboUK most confusin', my friend. if'n such'd be the latter, folks who interact with her'd already be'n the "know", eh?
yer welcome, i believe yer a true treasure 'n 'm most blessed to call ya my dear friend.

@Drosophila She is just reticent about her personal life, I think. That's fair enough.

@JamesHxstatic I'm happy that you enjoy them, thanks.
The photo was taken on a boat trip we went on last year - it sailed right past Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed. There is a little patch of American soil there too - it was gifted to the American people when JFK was president.

@JudyEv Exactly - it's not as if I'm putting new information out about anybody. That's the whole point - to make the subjects recogniseable to others from what they already know about them.
I'm happy that you were pleased to have been 'limericked' - we've invented a new verb there!

I love the picture.
I am sure you will never reveal what we pm you and cause discomfort.
For me you have been just the opposite, making my entry here so comfortable and making me feel at home.
Please do continue with the series.

I don't understand why anyone who has come to know you would not trust you enough to know you would never betray personal detales, I was totally flattered when you wrote one about me and like many others I felt you only used the information we ourselves have provided in the many discussions we have initiated here.
Ummm, I'd love to see a limerick on my furbabies

I have been very happy that you decided to write a limerick including me. I have noticed that you never mentioned anything personal, only facts and info that are well know to all of us, but I can understand that someone could not like to be mentioned. I love your photo of the river Thames.

@LadyDuck I'm pleased that you didn't mind me doing one on you Anna, and as you say, I only write things that any of us can know if we've read the posts of the people concerned.
Sometimes I do know more about people than the average myLotter because for some reason they treat me like an agony aunt in pms. This is fine by me, and I appreciate them trusting me with their problems and life stories, but anything like that will remain strictly confidential.
Thanks for liking the photo.

I am sure that no one could ever take offence as you only highlight the good things about people for example how handsome and desirable I am etc etc. I know I know Poor old @Asylum was most put out when you mentioned his feathers and webbed feet living in such a moist part of the country.

I cannot think of a negative reason of not wanting for you to write about her. Personally, I even longing for you to write about me. I want to read what have you seen in me through my discussions or what are your impressions about me. Anyway, you wrote a lot of good things in some of our friends here, so there's no reason of not wanting to be written in your posts. So you must continue because we love it.

@Macarrosel I do take my time - when I see something about any of you that I think I may be able to use I jot it down, and when I have enough I start looking for rhymes.
Btw - why did you choose your user name? (Don't tell me if you'd rather not).
