Yesterday, I was checking the back garden and I saw that one of our Bee Balm red flower had finally opened up. My husband loves red flowers so we have quite a few of them in the garden. I love pink flowers and we also have a lot of them. So we are both happy! Do you have a particular flower color that you must have in your yard? Do tell!

Flowers do not particularly interest me. Mowing the grass is enough effort without growing and tending to flowers as well.

The orange nasturtiums and the multicoloured phlox are ones I put in every time. Not that I have a garden now.Thats why I enjoy all your gardens. You had posted the bee balm when it was a bud, its nice to see it flowering now. ps---I wonder if you have read my post 'mylot on my mind'?

I'm particularly drawn to red flowers and have a pot of red geraniums on my front porch.

I especially love the deep colors. My favorite colors are orange and yellow, I often plant those colors together they look so nice next to each other.

I lived in a flat with no garden, Yet i like to raise some green plants on the belcony. Raising from seeds to green buds, then blooming flowers, the whole process gave me a sense of achievement.

If that flower were in my garden, I'd be watching for it to open up too. It's lovely, Marie. I've been watching a day lily hoping it would be one I planted only a few years ago and it opened up today and is the one I wanted to see. I had it in a different location before, but an employee removed it in the fall thinking it was a weed. I had to dig through a lawn bag hoping to find all my perennials last year after he thought he weeded my garden. I've not told that whole story as yet, but I'm happy to see a lot of the flowers I though were ruined coming up in new locations after I re-planted what I hoped were the flowers themselves.

I do love bee balm and maybe it will help our dwindling bee population... I love bright pinks and oranges as they lend a tropical look to gardens. But little yellow ones are sweet too.

I don't have a yard here in my place. I love the purple flowers (tulips) I see in flower shops.
