my daughter loves this film. hence i've seen it an awful lot and i kinda like it too. i guess my favourite song is finally found. do like breaking free too. my little girl is learning the dances at dance class and her favourites to dance to are bop to the top and get your head in the game. the dvd is out here next week so i think it may land in my daughter christmas stocking if she is good! guess i will have to watch it even more too! D'oh!

I think it's Breaking Free even if I love all the songs! Get'cha head in the game or What I've Been Looking For are also amazing songs!

this is a tough one.. like all of their songs. but if i have to choose ... hmmm... i'm going to say that it's atie between start of something new and breaking free.

i've never had the chance to watch the movie completely, i've only seen the begining n the only song i got to listen to was "start of something new" i loved it!

Breaking Free was my favorite song. I have the High School Musical soundtrack in my car..lol, and I always listen to that one the most. And if it's dark outside and no one is looking I sing the girl part in that song. I know it sounds weird, but I'm sure I'm not the only person here who sings in their car. I love watching the scene too..you can almost feel the rush of excitement going through you.

My favorite song by Highschool musical is definitely Breaking Free because you can sing and dance with it and it's a nice one.

my two son love this movie so much and and i think they've memorized each and evry song. But I think they like the last song more, where everone was singing ang dancing. I think it's the one that goes.."we're all in this together...'

Mine would have to be the slow version of "What I've Been Looking For" because the way Troy and Gabriella harmonizes is beautiful. Granted that the fast version of it is catchy and infectious, but I still prefer the sweeter version anytime~ My second favorite is "Status Quo" because 1) It's funny/cute 2) Tt is basically what the whole movie is trying to discourage. Sticking to the status quo and quelling your dreams is the worst thing anyone can ever do and HSM is all about reaching your dreams and achieving your goals isn't it?

This musical (film-musical) seems to come upp everywhere! I started watching it about 1 month ago, but gave upp after maybe 10 minutes, because it felt so much like a really second-rate teenage-movie (the kind I'd have loved at 15, but don't find that interesting any longer). Should I give this movie another chance? As I work with musical theatre I'm always interested in what's going on in the world of new musicals, and latelly, there's been so much talk, so much trading of scores, so much discussion (and praise!) of this musical! Is it really good? (Make the question "is it really good if you're over 20?".)
